A plastic surgeon from Turin who walked away from medicine, and ended up building the largest dollar in the world.

Long before anyone had heard of a stablecoin, he was online under a single pseudonym: Merlin. The Skype handle read merlin. The Italian press eventually gave him the name that stuck — Mago Merlino, Merlin the Magician.

Today he is one of the richest men in Italy and one of the least photographed. He built a hundred billion dollars out of thin air, and never once explained the trick.
